Our running journey started back in 2018. A small group of neighbours encouraged each other to get fit by meeting every week at the end of the street to run together.
Numbers soon grew and runners throughout Slaithwaite joined in to run regularly meeting in the centre of the village to then tackle the roads and trails around the area.
In 2019 we became an affiliated club. We are now a well established and recognised running club with members of all abilities from across the Colne Valley.
Slaithwaite Striders are like minded friendly people, helping each other to improve, perform and have fun whilst out running.
We always welcome new runners to the club, regardless of your ability.

They meet every Monday and Thursday at the cricket pitch at 7PM on Monday there are two groups steady and swift and on Thursday there is four short steady, long steady, swift and speedy
