Rolling hills, canal and river, woods and open moorland - Slaithwaite has it all!


Slaithwaite is nestled in a valley of green pastures grazed by cattle and sheep, alongside ancient woods, reservoirs and nearby moorland on the National Trust Marsden Moor estate. There are many rewarding walks to suit all ages and abilities including the Colne Valley circular.

The River Colne and Huddersfield Narrow Canal offer peaceful and well-trodden routes to enjoy the natural environment.
