Otso - The Spirit of the Bear
Seen in Scandinavian folklore as the bear spirit; the king of the woods - our friend, brother and forest cousin.
" Hi I'm Simon, I created the Otso brand back in 2015. I had a dream of producing a nature inspired fashion brand that could be both contemporary and socially responsible.
Having worked for over a decade as a Freelance Graphic Designer and having a love of the great outdoors, hiking and mountain biking, I wanted to enjoy creating tee designs that I myself would wear. I also wanted to involve my friends so I'm passionate about collaborating with other artists and illustrators.
The ethos I've created through Otso allows me to collaborate creatively whilst promoting ethical manufacturing standards and environmental issues both locally and globally."
Otso is in touch with the people of our planet. That’s why our garments are produced in India to FairWear ethical standards and then screen printed and finished locally by hand here in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield. This ensures families abroad are paid an honest living wage whilst also supporting other independent businesses closer to home.
