Tory - Little Bridge

Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire

From the Coal Yard Kiosk to the Little Bridge

The Little Bridge is a thriving wine bar and restaurant located in the heart of Slaithwaite and has been there for 18 and a half years, and is as popular as ever. I interviewed Tory, owner of the popular spot.

She lives in Marsden, so is very familiar with Slaithwaite. People love to come to Little Bridge as it has been there for many years, a familiar face for Slaithwaite.

Tory tells us how she likes watching Slaithwaite evolve and grow as a village and community. The Little Bridge offers a warm space with a variety of food and drinks, alcoholic and soft, with the most popular dishes being their wraps and salads.

History of the Little Bridge

The unique establishment is built around an old coal shed by the river. This shed is now a part of the kitchen, it cannot be removed as it is a listed building.

Aside from its unique history, the Little Bridge also has a unique location, located between the river Colne and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, letting customers observe all the wonderful wildlife that our village is home to.
