The Civic is community owned and not for profit. Run by the Civic Hall Trust, its a registered charity for the benefit of local people and the wider community.
The Civic is the home of Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the local youth club and Experience Community, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps physically disabled people enjoy the benefits of outdoor and green spaces.
We are also fortunate to be able to offer a Changing Places Toilet.
We cater for a wide range of things including christenings, birthday parties, theatre, dance, fitness, weddings and public meetings.
